The metal sheet on the back is for cooling and installation. The magnet and base mechanism allows users to insert photographs, hang them on a wall, and connect them to the desk base. TCL Ultrathin Mesh Router will automatically access and manage the smart home products of the whole family on TCL Home App.

Recognising the fact that decorative art can be found in every household, the TCL Ultrathin Mesh Router was designed as a picture frame that can be used for displaying artwork or photographs and hides its technology in an innovative, playful manner. The metal sheet on the back is only 10 mm thick and serves as both a heat dissipater and a magnet hanger. In this way, the product can be attached to a wall or connected to a desk base. Made of eco-friendly materials, the router can automatically access and manage the entire family’s smart home products via an app. “The concept of merging technology with decoration is truly innovative,” the jury emphasised.

G-Mark Award Jury Statement:

This product looks like a tablet at first glance. But this is a Wi-Fi router for mesh networking. It also can be used as a photo frame as a part of interior decoration. The design or presence of routers should be as minimal as possible since it handles invisible signals, though, many of them somehow had crab-like strong looking forms. This product rebels against such designs in the past. If this type of simple design becomes more common, digital products will be more familiar in our everyday life.
